Energy Infrastructure

Drone protection for substations & energy sites

Substations, oil & gas pipelines and solar farms sit in open, remote terrain — exactly where FPV drones can approach unchallenged. A single improvised drone can force a regional outage.

Threat

Remote, exposed assets

Grid nodes and pipeline stations are kilometers from any response team. Perimeter fences stop people, not aircraft.

Threat

FPV & fiber-optic attack drones

Anti-FPV is now a board-level word. Purpose-built FPV drones fly under radar coverage, hug terrain, and fiber-optic variants emit zero RF — invisible to jammers and RF detectors alike.

Threat

Cascading consequences

A struck transformer or compressor station means regional outages, environmental risk, and weeks of repair from equipment with months-long lead times.

Response configuration

How NetClear stands watch here

Every deployment is a tuned combination of sensors, interceptors and workflow integration.

Detection

  • Optical (EO/IR) cameras with AI classification — day/night visual confirmation
  • Acoustic arrays tuned for FPV rotor signatures, including fiber-optic variants with no RF emission
  • Low-altitude radar for conventional drone tracks
  • Fusion into one correlated track list per site

Response

  • Net-capture interceptors that physically remove the drone without emitting interference
  • No jamming near SCADA / protection relays — zero risk to your own control systems
  • Automatic work-order trigger into your grid O&M workflow

Integration

Incident timelines, sensor clips and capture telemetry export straight into the reports your regulator expects.

FAQ

Common questions

Can you stop fiber-optic FPV drones?+

Yes. Fiber-optic drones emit no RF signals, so jamming fails. We detect them with acoustic and optical sensors and remove them with physical net-capture interceptors — no dependence on the drone emitting anything.

Will the system interfere with substation protection relays or SCADA?+

No. NetClear's response is physical interception, not jamming. The platform emits no high-power RF at your site, so protection relays, SCADA and comms links are unaffected.

What do regulators receive after an incident?+

A complete, timestamped evidence package: fused sensor tracks, operator decisions, interceptor telemetry, and the recovered drone with payload — everything needed for a formal incident report.
